Priorities

  • Funding for Public Safety Personnel and Behavioral Health Unit

Ensure the safety and well-being of our community by maintaining and enhancing the capabilities of our public safety personnel and behavioral health unit to aid residents experiencing a mental health crisis or chemical dependency. Dan always votes to provide our Burnsville Police, Fire, and EMS with the resources they need to keep our community safe.

  • Neighborhood Support and Empowering Our Community Members

Improve the quality of housing and support for low-income homeowners and renters, families, and seniors aging in place through proactive neighborhood services. Strengthen community connections to understand where and how the city of Burnsville can serve residents through collaborative, responsive city governance that meets your needs.

  • Easing the Cost of Housing and Growing Our Local Economy

Expand housing affordability and economic opportunities in Burnsville through public-private partnerships for commercial redevelopment, encouraging energy-efficient and affordable new construction, and enhancing Burnsville’s low-interest loan program for emergency home repairs.

  • Improving Public Transit and Investing in Our Parks and Recreation

Enhance public transit options to improve connectivity and accessibility between our city and neighboring counties, facilitating better access to jobs, shopping, and entertainment for Burnsville residents. Invest in our world class parks and recreation facilities along with unique programming to foster a healthy, active community for residents of all ages.
